Fred - Dancefloor

Fred is simply one of, if not the most charismatic and talented Salsa artist of his generation.

In 2010 Fred visited BoogTom for one month in South Korea. During his time there he was exposed to South Koreans’ discipline and strong work ethic, as well the manner in which BoogTom created various choreographies. That year they decided to collaborate on their second choreography “Moments in Boogaloo.”

The show was performed for the first time at the Copa Loca salsa festival in Besançon (France). Committed to providing quality shows, they both worked hard: BoogTom on cha cha cha and Fred on controlled body movement. Moments in Boogaloo was a huge success, and paved the way to many subsequent festival invitations.

During the summer of 2012 it became increasingly difficult for BoogTom to travel to Europe. The work of the duo thus came to a natural end after their last show in South Korea. At this point, Fred offered Kouame, a Geneva-based dancer who also specializes in the fusion of different dance styles, to continue the Dancefloor adventure with him.

There was an immediate synergy between the dancers and they choreographed their first show “Cuenta bien,” to be showcased at the Geneva Afrolatin Congress in 2013 (Switzerland). The success of this show was a turning point for both dancers and it opened the door to dancing on many stages worldwide.
